WHERE THERE IS A WILL,ALLAH SHOWS YOU A WAY

Once I was conversing with a old muslim man, who told me
that what ever situation you are in, never think of disobeying Allah in the
least bit. Things in life may get very difficult and may also decision making
should be done very cautiously. And he narrated to me a story of a pious girl
who was the paragon of virute and piety. She considered herself answerable to
Allah for every act that she does. Allah blessed her with a pious and righteous
husband.

Life went on and she got pregnant and when it was time for
the baby to be delivered, doctors informed that she needed a ceasarean. Her
husband took her to the only hospital in town where there was no female doctor
available and can be only available only after 4 days. There was a male doctor
who could perform if the couple gives permission. The husband  are ready for it, considering the medical
condition of the girl deteriorating and she need an operation early….but the
girl said: By Allah this will never happen…I would rather die than have a male
stranger operate and deliver the baby.

Husband: My self-respect connot brook it either that a male
strangerlooks upon you, but your life is at stake.

Girl: None of us will live forever in this world. If my
death is ordained this way, I welcome it and am happily prepared to embraceit.
Have you heard the saying of the prophet (pbuh) that : If a women dies in the
state of nifas (post natal bleeding), dies a martyr. And prophet (pbuh) also
said: whoever gives up a thing for the sake of Allah Almighty, He gives him/her
something better in return.

Hearing this the husband takes her home. Very soon her
health conditions improved, she delivered the child without an operation. The
coupled thanked Allah and they were very happy. What we understand from this
story is that we must have the will to do things for the sake of Allah. If we
decide it and be steadfast in it, then Allah will do things for you in a
fashion that is much easy for you and he will make you pleased with it. This
only Allah can do, but people place their trust brothers, sisters, mothers,
fathers, friends and relatives. If they have pure intention then Allah will make
way out for them.

Try to read all those three statements in the conversation
of the girl. Her thinking was Allah centred. If this girl had thought my life
is at stake, why don’t I allow a male stranger to operate, Allah will forgive
me as this was an emergency. Then she would have definitely been operated in
that hopsital by a male doctor. She thought about her rights upon her body
first rather than thinking about her life. What she chose was the pleasure of
Allah. She had a strong will in herself that even if I die, I would prefer to
die as a martyr rather than disobeying Allah. If Allah’s pleasure is what we look
for, then without doubt that we have the will and we need to be patientand keep
striving in his path until Allah shows you the way.

WHO SAYS- TIME IS MONEY-------TIME IS HEREAFTER........Waste your time, Suffer in Hereafter.

Henry Wadsworth said in his one of the motivational  works a few lines which are:

Art is long, and Time is fleeting,
And our hearts, though stout and brave,
Still, like muffled drums, are beating
Funeral marches to the grave.

These four lines give us so much to think about how precious our time is

Art is long- Art constitutes many things that we are passionate about or work, study, research and gain more knowledge about. And we often sacrifice many aspects of our life. Be it any field we have specialisations available and deep  analysis and study is available to learn.

Time is fleeting – And the time that we have has no control. Its running out every moment and within a snap of a finger, day changes.

And our hearts, though stout and brave – Our hearts become more enduring and brave.

Still like muffled drums are beating – Heart does not move from its place inside our body, but it is like muffled drums, muffled means to wrap or cover to reduce the noice, our hearts are covered by our rib cage and body at large. And the beating of the heart at the rate of 72 beats per minute is like funeral marches which takes place when a armyman’s body is taken to the graveyard with drums beating on every step that the procession takes.
Doesnt these lines denote that every second passed is taking us closer to the grave by a second..?

Surah Asr is a surah in which Allah swears (oath) by time. The surah shows very clearly and specifies for us a bare minimum that we should be doing or else we will be losers and our end would be unpleasant. Imam Shafi has very rightly said that if the people only considered this Surah well, it alone would suffice them for their guidance. How important this Surah was in the sight of the Companions can be judged from the tradition cited from Hadrat Abdullah bin Hisn ad-Darimi Abu Madinah, according to which whenever any two of them met they would not part company until they had recited Surah Al-Asr to each other. (Tabarani). As for the oath,  Allah has not sworn an oath by any of the created objects on account of its wonderful qualities but for the reason that it adds to the truth which is meant to be understood by us. Therefore, the oath by Time signifies that Time is witness to the truth that man is in sheer loss except for the people who possess the four qualities.

1)Faith, (2) Righteous deeds, (3) exhorting one another to Truth, and (4) exhorting one another to patience.

Let me bring your attention to an examination hall, where the candidates are writing exam. The candidate who would use time wisely would be able to solve all the questions in the question paper. But for candidate who did not concentrate enough to answering thw questions would be in a loss. If we are more consious of the time, and use it wisely then definitely we would not be among the losers. Using time wisely means that setting our priorities right and understanding the purpose behind our creation.

This reminds me of an ayah mentioned in Quran from surah Shu ara ayah 88-89 which says, “The day when wealth and children will not benefit anyone except he who will come to Allah with a Qalb-e-Saleem.”

What use would money be when we are in front of Allah on the Day of Judgement……?

What use would wisely used time by obeying Allah and His Messenger be when we are in front of Allah on the Day of Judgement..?

A BELIEVER AND HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS LORD

As far as believer is concerned he should/will be alert of his actions. The reason is fairly simple that he is answerable to each and every single action of his in the hereafter. He should feel in the depts of his soul that he is in constant need of the help and support of Allah, no matter how much he may think he can do things by himself/others help. He knows that it is Almighty Allah Who is in control of the affairs of the universe and of mankind.
So, it is the matter of complete submission to Allah and His Messenger. When there is a doubt in the submission to this, then there is a concern to be addressed as the hadith states: Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you is responsible for his flock (i.e. those owe whom you have authority).
But no, by the Lord, they can have no (real) Faith, until they make you judge in all disputes between them, and find in their souls no resistance against your decisions, but accept them with the fullest convictions. ( Quran 4 : 65).
The sincere muslim is convinced that belief in the will and decree of Allah is one of the pillars of faith. Whatever befalls him in life cannot have been avoided, because Allah has decreed it.  His acceptance of the divine will and decree will earn him a great reward from Allah, Who will count him as one of the successful, obedient believers.
The muslim may find himself becoming neglectful and slipping from the straight path, so that he may commit a sin which does not  befit him as a humble and vigilant believer, but he will soon remember his Lord, turn away from his error and seek forgiveness for his failings.

The sincere muslim seeks to earn the pleasure of Allah in everything that he does. He is not concerned with seeking the approval of other, and indeed he may incur the wrath and hatred of people in the course of his efforts to win divine favour, as the prophet (pbuh) said:
Whoever seeks the pleasure of Allah at the risk of displeasing the people. Allah will take care of him and protect him from them. But whoever seeks the pleasure of the people at the risk of angering Allah. Allah will abandon him to the care of the people. (Tirmidhi).
The believer is concerned about his prayer and the pillars of Islam, with out which his faith is not complete.  Serving and worshiping Allah may be accomplished through every deed of man that is aimed at building a civilization establishing the authority of Allah on earth and living according to His commandments. The sincere believer will feel that his worship is lacking is he does not strive to achieve the purpose for which Allah created Jinn and men.
I have only created jinns and men, that they may serve Me. (Quran 51: 56)

No wonder that a believer joyfully embraces this mission and eagerly devotes all his resources- his time, his energy and his wealth- to fulfilling it. It is the distinguishing characteristic of his life, for it entitles him to draw closer to Allah, by his ibaadaat, understanding the purpose of his creation, reading the message from Allah, and not deviating from the path of Allah as Messenger taught him.
Can then any Muslim ignore his Creator ?

VA YUHATHHIRUKUMULLAHU NAFSA……….. ALLAH WARNS AGAINST HIMSELF

Taubah comes from word Ta wa ba means turn away from something. Whenever  a slave of Allah wants to refine himself/ herself then they find the need  to repent to Allah. Islamically we use this term to turn away from disobedience to Allah’s commands.  A person turns from disobeying Allah to obeying Allah.
Allah says:

Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[az-Zumar : 53]

Often when we sin, we think not to turn to Allah as shaitaan whispers in to our mind: doing this heinous sin you want to pray to Allah, he makes us feel that we are not worthy of forgiveness from Allah. But that should not be the case. We must always ask forgiveness and stay from commiting those sins again.

Indeed, Allah has opened the door of repentance to every sinner. The Prophet said,

"Oh people, repent to Allah, for indeed, I repent to Allah 100 times every day"

[Muslim : 2702]
One of the scholar said that repentance is the first step in your relationship with Allah (AL HARAQI)
Some ulema refine and expanded the above mentioned  defination of  tawbah by the following:
1)      Regret in the heart (nadham al Qalb)
After you commit a sin, you feel that guilt in you and regret that encompasses you. Prophet(pbuh) said: Taubah is to feel regret and shame.  To do taubah without the sense of regret is a sign of Hypocrisy.

2)      Stick to the obedience of Allah:
To control his/her body parts with the fear of Allah.
The Eg: If the person who turns to Alah is like a house with six doors. Then he needs to be careful with who does he let in from those six doors. This is the example of a mumin.
That he /she looks at the doors. The doors are Eyes, Nose, Mouth, Ears, Hands, Limbs, Mind. Out of these doors the acts which are forbidden they seem to be entering easily and if you dont put guards at each of the door, then you are going to sin. The Question is how do we put the guard... guard is Dhikr of Allah.

Imam Gazzali said : the sins of zina doesn’t start with eyes.. it starts with mind. So, it is mind where it all starts. Ibn Qayyim said : repel bad thoughts , if you don’t then they will become desires.. declare war(haarib-ha) on them. If they become desires then they become ambitions for you. If it becomes ambition then capture (qayyidh – haa) it… and if you don’t then they become a habit, then try to do the opposite of the habit to stop it and if you don’t then it becomes difficult to stop.

3)      Stay Upright (Istikaaamah)
It means to try to stand straight and be on the right path. Another meaning is to strive against the evil. Ignorance is always not legitimate excuse. So we must understand our purpose in life. This life should not hold any importance, whereas your after life should be considered with utmost importance.  When we gather together knowledge and sincerity coupled with practice then we may become amongst those in Siratul mustaqeem. How can we do that is by Taubah.

Allah says in Quran:
The greatest gift of Allah upon creation is that he inspires the creation to turn to Him.
 Surah Taubah – Verse 117 118.

There might be some thought in the mind of youngsters that they are too young to make taubah, as they have not lived long years as compared to others. A young person who repents to Allah is the beloved thing to Allah. A young person who feels who doesn’t need to make taubah as they have long life, then they need to make taubah also, taubah from what….? Taubah from stupididty.

On the Day when every person will be confronted with all the good he has done, and all the evil he has done, he will wish that there was a great distance between him and his evil. And Allah warns you against Himself and Allah is full of Kindness to His slaves.
[Aal-Imraan : 30]

Allah warns against Himself, Allah is the only one who knows the Ilm e Ghaib (the Unseen), and this verse is a clear proof that no matter how much ever we think good about ourselves, how much ever proud we are about our Ibaadah, Charity, Fasting & other good deeds; we would think on that day there was long distance between ourself and our evil.

Hasten to repent to Allah and turn to Him for guidance…. Insha Allah He will forgive your sins and Guide You.

JAHANNAM - WHAT IS IT?

[All about Hell. what, where, how and more.]

1.Hell is so deep that if a stone were to be thrown into it, it would travel for 70 years to reaching at the bottom.

2.The breadth of each of the four walls around Hell is equivalent to a distance covered by a walking journey of 40 years.

3.Hell has 7 gates.

4.Hell had been lit for one thousand years until its flames became red. Again it has heated for another thousand years till its color became white. Still again it was burnt for further thousand years and its white color flames turned pitch black.

5.Even the fiercest fire of this world is 70 fold cooler than the fire of Hell.

6.The lightest punishment in Hell would be the wearing of "Fiery shoes which would cause one's brain to boil.

7.Hell in infested with venomous snakes and scorpions of the size of donkeys and if they were to bite a person then he or she will suffer pain for 40 years.

8.For food, the dweller of Hell would be given Zaqqum which is a prickly tree, so bitter, that even if a single molecule of it were to spill onto this earth it would make all the foodstuff of the world bitter and unpalatable.

9.For drinking, the denizen of Hell would be provided with hot, boiling pus mixed with blood, matter, urine and tears etc. of the dwellers of Hell. If a bucket of this foul liquid were to be splashed over this earth, the entire world would be upset and disrupted by its most foul stink.

10.Boiling water would be poured over Jahannami's head and this will cause their internal organs to melt and leak out through their feet.

11.The inmates of Hell would be lashed with heavy clubs of iron. If one such club was to be placed upon this earth, the combined strength of all the human beings, as well as all the Jinn, would fail to lift it; and if a mountain is struck with one of these clubs it would cause the whole mountain to disintegrate.

12. The dwellers of Hell would be burnt daily for 70 thousand times. Every time, after the skin and flesh is burnt; they would be restored to life so that they can continuously taste this punishment.

13. A drunkard will be given blood, pus, sweat, filth etc. to drink in Hell.

14. All the haughty people will be gathered in the Hereafter and driven towards Hell but their bodies would be reduced to the size of ants and they will be given to consume the excretions of the dwellers of Hell.

15. Some sinners would be made to climb "SAUD" which is a mountain of fire in Hell, and then dropped from its peak and climb and dropped from its peak and climb and dropped from its peak and this process would continue forever and ever.

16. The dwellers of Hell would be pound in chains which would be greater in length than the distance between the sky and the earth.

17. The clothes of sinners in Hell would be highly inflammable.

18. Beside physical torture, the dwellers of Hell would also be subjected to mental harassment through the taunting by the guardian of Hell who will remind them of their misdeed on earth and remarks "Now taste the fires" etc.

19. The sinners and disbelievers would be humiliate to such an extent that besides their revolting ugliness and pitch black faces, their upper lips would be touching their foreheads and the lower lip dangling around the navel.

20. The dwellers of Hell would weep so much and shed so much of tears and blood that furrows would be formed on their cheeks.

21. The tongues of Hell-inmates would be so long and protruding from there mouths that others would trample and step on them.

22. Shayateen will also rebuke the denizens of Hell. (you will see the jinn and other foul looking creatures you have never seen before burning and shouting right next to you)

23. All the human senses will experience pain and foulness. You will hear horrific and disturbing sounds you have never heard before that would indeed shake you and scare you, and you will see foul and horrific things you have never seen before, as well as taste the foulest things you couldn’t possibly imagine eating... and of course feel pain like no human could possibly ever imagine, forever.

24. The dwellers of Hell would display their rage and fury on those who led them astray.

25. The inhabitants of Hell would appeal to the guardians of Jahannam to intercede on their behalf in the court of Allah but their pleas would reject. They would make direct supplication to Allah but their prayers would not be granted.

26. They will then abide forever in Hell, continuously lamenting and braying like a***s (jungle animals)

May ALLAH swt give all of us hidayat and show us d path of JANNAH & save us from torture in HELL,and save us from fire of HELL...ameen

WHO IS STRONG AMONG US?

The next time you are tempted to say something hurtful to someone just because you’re angry, you might want to stop and remember this story. First let me tell you this hadeeth. Once a man asked the Prophet (pbuh) to give him advice, for which Prophet (pbuh) replied. Don’t get angry. The man asked again twice for which the reply that he received from the prophet(pbuh) was “Don’t get angry”. Similar to the hadith where Prophet(pbuh) said that maximum love and affection is to mother. So one can clearly understand how important is to control our anger.

Now, the story There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn’t lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper. The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone.

The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, “You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won’t matter how many times you say I’m sorry, the wound is still there.”The little boy then understood how powerful his words were. He looked up at his father and said “I hope you can forgive me father for the holes I put in you.”“Of course I can,” said the father.

Anger is an emotional state that varies in intensity from mild irritation to intense fury and rage,” according to Charles Spielberger, PhD, a psychologist who specializes in the study of anger.  It is accompanied by physiological and biological changes; when you get angry, your heart rate and blood pressure go up, as do the levels of your energy hormones: adrenaline and noradrenaline. At the conscious level, there are commonly to be found ideas such as, "She shouldn't have said that to me," or "Who does he think he is ?" or "I can't take anymore of this. Anger can potentially “hijack” the rational thinking part of our brain.  This is often the case when a person states, “I just coudnt control myself!”

Many of us are unable to control ourselves and end up arguing with others, often the ones that we love – our parents, our brothers, our sisters, husband or wives. As humans beings, we have our emotions. We react in either positive or negative emotions. Sometimes we may lose our logic and we cannot control our emotions. So what we supposed to do. Prophet(pbuh) ordered us to say:
I seek refuge in God from the accursed evil (a`ûdhû billâhi min ash-shaytân ir rajîm).
In another narration Prophet (pbuh) said the following: Anger is a burning coal. Don't you see your eyebrows wide and eyes reddish? So when one of you feels angry, let him sit down if standing, and lie down if sitting.
The Prophet (pbuh) said : "When one of you gets angry, let him make ablution with water as anger arises out of fire."
Also "Anger comes from the devil and the devil is made of fire."

These are the three Anger Management tips from the Sunnah of Prophet(pbuh) which should be used by us.
Allah says in surah Ashuraa, which is Surah 42 of the Quran, in the 36th and 37th verse: So whatever thing you have been given – it is but [for] enjoyment of the worldly life. But what is with Allah is better and more lasting for those who have believed and upon their Lord rely. And those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, and when they are angry, they forgive.

When you analyse how Allah explains us the importance of not getting angry, you will be more submissive to Him Alone. Firstly, He says that this worldly things are for this life only and think why do we get angry. Is it for the worldly things or some thing else. Definitely it is mostly because of the worldly things. So Allah says what He has for you in the Akhiraah which is firstly better and more lasting. So as a believer in Allah we must place our trust in Him. Further He says.. to avoid the major sins and immoralities and he says to forgive when you are ANGRY.  He did not say  STAY CALM WHEN YOU ARE ANGRY. He says: FORGIVE. So, remember this when you are about to burst out your rage on your mother, brother, sister or your spouse. As this act of forgiveness that you would do for the sake of Allah. Allah is ready to offer you in the above verse which you would lose.
I would like to end by saying a hadith where Prophet(pbuh) said: He is not strong who throws people down, but he is strong among us who controls himself when he is angry." [Bukhari and Muslim]. So who is strong amonst us………

HER EXAMPLE FOR US...WHO IS SHE?

We all have known that out of the wives that the prophet (pbuh) had, she enjoys a very important status. Her life is a proof that she was far more knowledgeable, well aware of tenants of Islam. She has been a source of inspiration for many during her times. Many of the learned companions of the Prophet and their followers benefitted from her knowledge.
She was one of three wives who memorized the Revelation. Like Hafsah (R.A), she had her own script of the Quran written after the Prophet had died. So far as the Ahadith or sayings of the Prophet is concerned, she is one of four persons (the others being Abu Hurayrah, Abdullah ibn Umar, and Anas ibn Malik) who transmitted more than two thousand sayings. Have you all guessed? Who is she? It is none other than Aisha (Radhiallahu anha).

The Prophet entered into marriage with Aisha (R.A) when she was six … and at the time [of joining his household] she was a girl of nine years of age. She died at the age of 67 and she was 18 when prophet (pbuh) died. She had lived with the prophet (pbuh) for not more than a decade. In her youth, already known for her formidable memory, she came under the care and attention of the Prophet (pbuh). As his wife and close companion, she acquired from him knowledge and insight such as no woman has ever acquired.

Men and women came from far of places to benefit from her knowledge. The number of women is said to have been greater than that of men. Some of her students were outstanding. Abu Musa al-Ashari once said: "If we companions of the Messenger of Allah had any difficulty on a matter, we asked Aisha about it."Many of the traits pertaining to personal behavior which only someone in Aisha (R.A) position could have learnt from Prophet (pbuh). What is most important is that her knowledge of hadith was passed on in written form by at least three persons including her nephew Urwah who became one of the greatest scholars among the generation after the Companions. “Musa ibn Talha said: I never saw anyone more eloquent than Aisha.”

Her nephew Urwah asserts that Aisha (R.A) was proficient in her extensive understanding of Qur'an, Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), Islamic teachings and traditions (Sunnah), medicine (tibb) and poetry. Many of the senior companions of the Prophet came to her to ask for advice concerning questions of inheritance which required a highly skilled mathematical mind. Scholars regard her as one of the earliest fuqaha of Islam along with persons like Umar ibn al-Khattab, Ali and Abdullah ibn Abbas. The Prophet referring to her extensive knowledge of Islam is reported to have said: "Learn a portion of your religion (din) from this red colored lady." "Humayra" meaning "Red-coloured" was an epithet given to Aisha (R.A) by the Prophet.

Youth girls of today have their ideal as famous personalities from Glamour field including actor, actresses, sports personalities and others from different field. But one of the best ideal for all of us is definitely this sahaabiya and wife of our prophet (pbuh).

"The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) would say to `Aisha, (may Allah be pleased with her): "I know when you become angry or pleased of me" She said, "I asked, how could you know that?" He said, "When you are pleased, you say, "No, by the Lord of Muhammad and when you are angry, you say, "No, by the lord of Ibrahim"(Reported by Bukhari).
What is the reason for this behaviour to be included in bukhari? This behaviour of Aisha (R.A) was approved by prophet (pbuh) that is the reason why this hadith has been reported in the bukhari. The personality of Aisha (R.A) is an example for many of us. It teaches us several practices and how to deal with any situation. When we relate our lives and think for a while as to what the companions would do if they had been in our place... we would definitely get the answer. But the greatest concern is that we don’t relate it to them, nor do we relate it to Aakhiraah. May Allah help us achieve the qualities that this Mother of believer’s had. Ameen.

SHE LOVES ME, SHE LOVES ME NOT....

Imagine a brother attending a talk, supposed to be a Halal environment. After the talk when all the people gathered start to leave, on the way the brother happens to glance upon a sister. Shaytan makes the brother think  “ Oh Masha Allah, this sister is very active. She would become a good wife”. Shaytan also puts into the mind of the brother ”DO IT THE HALAL WAY”. The brother approaches the sister and asks her for her father’s number. The sister gives her father’s number. This is how brothers and sisters fall into the trap of shaytan. Shaytan plans to stop the brother to call that sister’s father, makes him think I don’t know much about her, her family... then how should I call her father and create a big confusion. Let me know about the sister then things will be easy. After few days, in another talk (HALAL) they also xchange their personal mail id’s. The sister thinks that this brother is really very nice..so she says “Insha Allah I will pray Salaat Ul Istikhara..they start conversing with each other more... and we know how things progress from there. This is how Shaytan makes us feel that we are doing the right thing and HALAL way. From a point where there was no conversation at all, he created a situation where the brother, sister and he (shaytan) are alone. Slowly and steadily shaytan makes them win his race and they become the loser.
This scenario could have stopped at any point before things go worse. Yes, it could have ended at the point where the brother after looking at that sister for the first time, could have lowered his gaze. And it could have also stopped at a point where the sister should have not given her mail id. After these things have happened, there is very little chance of escaping from shaytan.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "Allah has written the very portion of Zina which a man will indulge in. There will be no escape from it. The Zina of the eye is the (lustful) look, the Zina of the ears is the listening (to voluptuous songs or talk), the Zina of the tongue is (the licentious) speech, the Zina of the hand is the (lustful) grip, the Zina of the feet is the walking (to the place where he intends to commit Zina), the heart yearns and desires and the private parts approve all that or disapprove it.''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
But sad to say that it is this culture which has harmed many youths life. Every deen has its distignuished feature and our feature as muslims is “HAYA”. This is what differentiate us from others. During prophet(pbuh), in the market places, men and women use to walk freely. Prophet(pbuh) use to say Itlaa Itlaa for the women to make way for men. After free mixing of male and female was prohibited, he made it very clear that females should walk through the market close to the edges and men to walk through the middle. The messenger of Allah had made it very clear, in fact categorically clear to the extent that there is a massive punishment for a man who touch a foreign female. Here are the words from the hadeeth: ‘It is better for you that a metal rod be plunged into your head than that you should touch a female who is not lawful for you’.
Can you imagine this, on the day of judgement..a metal rod plunged into your head....how would you feel…and can you imagine it here in this duniya..it is better for you to take a metal rod and plunge it into your head than to touch or look at a foreign female. If you walk down the streets now a days, you can find many Laila – Majnu, Heer – Ranjha & Romeo-Juliet. Sad to see our muslim brothers and sisters also amongst them. Is this what Islam tells us?
‘O youth, who ever amongst you has the means of getting married, should do so because it lowers the gaze and protects the private parts;and whosoever does not have the ability, should fast, for indeed, it is a protection for him.'(Bukhari). This hadeeth specifically refers to the youth..as youth your desires are more strong. To avoid getting into something Haram, it is better that you get married. How many out of the youth today are getting married when they reach the age of marriage. Youth is busy with careers, getting settled and few also think that they cant afford it. I heard one of the Guy saying this: “Being single is like cool..you can do what you want, you don’t have to cry, no need to worry about your partner. you can live your life”.
If you see the school girls who are barely 12-16, when you observe them they think and behave as if they are ready for marriage, straight away. The way they dress up as if they are married women, the way they talk sometimes, even. But due to the trend of late marriage nowadays, getting married at the right age is definitely not “IN”. But we need to think about this  as an issue which is harming our deen, our society might not accept it but we need to do things which our deen allows and stay away from those things which our deen does not allow.
I am sure those brothers who are reading this there will be some who need to get marriage, and also who are married. If you are not married then get married. And if you are married, then get married again if you can do justice, Insha Allah.Next time you look at a sister, then think about a metal rod being plunged into your head. And refrain from things which are shameful. Get married and say that : I LOVE YOU rather than having a Haram relationship to opt for a chance to say: SHE LOVES ME, SHE LOVES ME NOT….

GOING FOR SALAAH, UNLOCK YOUR HEARTS…PLEASE

The Muslims once head out with the Prophet (peace be upon him) on way to
battle. During the trip the Prophet ordered two companions, one of the Ansaar and
one of the Muhaajireen, to stand guard over them. As they did the Muhaajer
decided to rest while the Ansaari chose to stand in prayer. Along came a nonbeliever
and cast an arrow striking the Ansari in the chest. The Ansari pulled out
the arrow and continued in prayer. The non-believer struck him with a second
arrow. Again the Ansari removed it and continued his prayer. A third arrow was
cast but now the Ansari could no longer stand and finally fell bleeding into his
Rukuu and Sujood. The aggressor fled as the Muhaajer rushed to his brother’s
aid, Why didn’t you alert me from the first arrow??” The Ansari
replied, “I was in the middle of a (beautiful) Sura and didn’t wish to interrupt my
recitation of it.” “Subhanallah!
How did the companions attain that level of inner peace, that level of Khushu.. Allah says in the Glorious Quran in the following verses of Surah Al Muminun : 1,2
Qad 'Aflaĥa Al-Mu'uminūna(Certainly will the believers have succeeded:)
Al-Ladhīna Hum Fī Şalātihim Khāshi`ūna (They who are during their prayer humbly submissive)
The word Khashiuna comes from the word khushu which means calmness, tranquility of the body and attentiveness of the mind during Salaah. So when we offer salaah - duniya jokes, friends, family, job, business etc all things pop up the moment you say “Allahu Akbar” and fold your hands. When you announce “Allahu Akbar”, imagine that you are before the cameras and the red “ON THE AIR” button has now been switched on. There is a veil from between You and Allah being raised up. In His hands is everything you are and everything you will ever be. But it is we who turn away from Allah and move away from him.
The designs on the prayer rug start to tell all sorts of entertaining stories! You try to fight this thought off and refocus. And then suddenly a fly comes upon the rug and then it comes upon you.. and you hear that a child is crying out loud. All these kind of things that you are engaged with during your Salaah spoils your Salaah and negates it to just merely a form of exercise activity. That is not what Allah means when he says : They who are during their prayer humbly submissive.

It was said that when Ali(R.A) washed in preparation for prayer(wudhu), he always went pale
and trembled with anxiety as he thought of himself about to stand before his Lord. How does that sound to us? Imam Bukhari was once stung by a wasp 17 times while standing in prayer. When
he finished, he felt some discomfort and asked if anyone was aware of what caused it and here we are day dreaming while offering salaah, making all sorts of stories looking at the prayer rug.
The way you can improve on your experience while salaah is to understand the meaning of what you are reciting or saying while you are offering salaah. Allahu Akbar, Subhana Rabee al Adheem, Samee’Allahu liman hamida, Subhaana Rabeeal A’la, Attahiyaathu lillaahi…, Allahumma Salli Ala, etc.. Try to read the meanings of the Surah’s that you recite, and when you stand in Salaah, when the Imam Recites the Surah relate it to what you have read.. this makes you busy with the understanding what is being recited during salaah.
Imam not necessarily will recite the surah’s that you know the meaning of, but you can do it for surah’s that you know off.. and if you don’t know what is being recited then pay attention to what is being recited, and fear Him before you bring up any matters associated to this Duniya, fear Him as if you are standing in front of Him and He is watching you. Our relationship with the book of Allah also has to improve to gain the khushu that the sahabas gained.
I was offering Fajr Salaah at Masjid Al Haram and the imam was Shaykh Khalid Al Ghamdi, he was reciting Surah At-Taghabun, he reached this verse where Allah says Yawma Yajma`ukum Liyawmi Al-Jam`i Dhālika Yawmu At-Taghābun..the shaykh started reciting this verse and he stopped at yawm and was crying and he had no control over his cry untill he recited it 6th time to complete the verse. Its because of the words Yawmu At-Taghābun which means  Day of Deprivation.
The complete translation of that verse is: The Day He will assemble you for the Day of Assembly – that is the Day of Deprivation. The Day of Deprivation Especially, non arabs should make it a point to learn Arabic to enjoy the sweetness that is derived from the Salaah. The inner peace that you experience during Salaah when you understand what is being recited. Here is what Allah calls us and questions us in the Quran:
Will they not ponder upon the Quran, or are their hearts locked up. (Surah Muhammad: 24)

RAMADHAN IS GONE… HAVE WE CHANGED OURSELVES? By ARIF MOHAMMED

It is with the mercy of Allah that we have passed by sacred month of Ramadhan, wherein we have refrained ourselves from eating, drinking days which is not a usual habit of ours during the other days of the year. Apart from that we have strived to refrain ourselves from other things which nullifies our fast. We adhered to the most unsual times of eating and drinking i.e Sahoor and Ifthaar.
If we think for a moment why did we do choose this unusual times of doing things-
was it because all of the muslims were doing it;
was it that our families and friends were doing it;
was it to please Allah(swt) and attain Taqwah;
was it that what will people say if I don’t fast.
The following verse from the Quran says : O you who believe, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you that you may achieve Taqwah.
(Al –Baqarah: Verse 183).
Now, we can very well understand which of the above mentioned options does Allah wants from us.
If we closely analyse ourselves, we must be having a very small habit which is wrong  - mite be a word that you utter often – a commonly used words like Teri Jaath ka….., Zyada Samajhme aa raha hain kya.. etc ; a way of doing thing- could be the way you perform Wudhu(ablution), actions during your salaah. It may or may not be known to your closed ones. But you know that I am doing a certain thing not the right manner. These might be one of the things or there possibly could be other things which one might have, which has become a normal thing and we have got habituated to it.
We come to know that we have become a slave to the habit of ours only during Ramadhan. This course of changing our habits and doing things which we are commanded by Allah(swt) makes us more Allah fearing. Just before uttering those words or just after we utter those words we come to know that we are fasting and we ask Allah to forgive us. Similarly any actions that we did while we were fasting and we ask Allah to forgive us. Why did we not eat even when we were hungry, why did we not drink even when we were thirsty. It should be because Allah has commanded to do so. This intention should be there with us not only during Ramadhan but also during the other days of the year. Whenever we do anything, we must analyse who are we doing it for.. think for a while and do it not to please anyone but please Allah(swt). It could be a simple thing of giving Sadaqah, or it could be you praying Withr Salaah. Think who are you doing it for are doing to please someone praying with us or to please Allah(swt).
In one of the narrations of Prophet(pbuh), where Jibreel (A.S) asks prophet (pbuh) what is Ihsan and the reply Prophet(pbuh) gives is : Ihsan means to worship Allah as if you see him, if you cant see Him, surely He sees you.
After Ramadhan you have the chance to change your personality completely. To take out the love of the world from our hearts and prepare for the aakhirah, we should take the advice of Prophet(pbuh) seriously.

Prophet(pbuh) is reported to have said: "Remember very often the cutter-off of all pleasures, that is death."{Imam al-Tirmidhi, al-Nasa'i, Ibn Majah and the Ahmad}.
Hazrat Bilal bin Masood and Umar bin Abdul Aziz Radiallaho Anho said, “O People! You are not created for being destroyed”.
Hazrat ibn Umar Radiallaho Anho says, “This world is paradise for the non-believers (they are engaged in their worldly desires and aspirations). This world is a jail or prison for the faithful (momins). They are bound by the laws of Shari at in every matter. Therefore, when the soul of a momin leaves his body (at the time of death), it is as if a captive has been freed from the cell. He cleans himself by turning in the dust.

In another narration The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "You should visit graves, because they will remind you of the reality of death."(Muslim)
There are several other narrations of our prophet(pbuh) where he showed us the way to achieve the best of this Life and Aakhirah.
Find out ways to improve your relationship with Allah, offer your Salaah on time.
Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah (RAA) Rasulullah  said: The similitude of five prayers is like an overflowing river passing by the gate of one of you in which he washes five times daily. Hasan said: No filthiness can remain on him. (Sahih Muslim Book 4, Hadith # 1411).
Find time to read Quran with Understanding..
Hazrat Abdullah bin Masud radhiyallahu anhu narrates that The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever reads one letter of the Quran receives the reward of one good deed. And one good deed is multiplied ten times.
Listen to Authors like Farhat Hashmi, Nouman Ali Khan, Muhammed Salaah, Salem Al Amry, Asim Al Hakem and several others who have so much to offer for us from Quran, Saheeh Hadeeth’s, Fiqh etc..   Spend your time in something which would benefit you in the Aakhirah. Leave  habits that are of no benefit to you in Aaskhirah, habits like watching movies, Listening to music etc. Just leave it. Get closer to Allah as much as you can, make your way to improve your Aakhirah.

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah [S.A.W.W](P.B.U.H) said, "Allah says: `I am just as My slave thinks of Me when he remembers Me.' By Allah! Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His slave than one of you who unexpectedly finds in the desert his lost camel. `He who comes closer to Me one span, I come closer to him a cubit; and he who comes closer to Me a cubit, I come closer to him a fathom; and if he comes to Me walking, I come to him running".
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Change, Change, Change for the sake of Allah. Allah will open up the pathways for you.

ALLAH CONCIOUS OR FOOD CONCIOUS – IT IS RAMADHAN / RAMADHAN FULL OF (IBAADAAH) OR DELICACIES By ARIF MOHAMMED

My school teacher who is a Muslim mailed me few weeks ago and asked me for recipes to be prepared during Ramadhan. Her condition was that the recipes that I give should have the ingredients which are easily available in the local market and should be easy to prepare.  And the best part was she wanted to have atleast 40-50 recipes out of which she can make one per day the whole month. And she wanted to have a mix of Continental, Italian, Chinese etc.
There is a hadeeth which comes to my mind..
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “The child of Adam fills no vessel worse than his stomach. Sufficient for the child of Adam are a few morsels to keep his back straight. If he must eat more, then a third should be for his food, a third for his drink, and a third left for air.” [Sunan al-Tirmidhî (2380) and Musnad Ahmad (17186) and authenticated by al-Albânî in Sahîh al-Jâmi`
I wondered during Ifthaar when we have been eating till we feel that our stomachs are like big baloons which may burst with a prick of a pin. Do you think that this is what Ramadhan is for.
But Unfortunately there are families amongst our ummah, which does not take into account any of the things mentioned above.  The burden that the mothers and the sisters take during this month is really uncalled for. Most of the time they are in Kitchen, preparing either Abba’s favourite Bhajia , Bhai’s dahi kadi or Sonu’s favourite dish. And they also have their favourites but they sacrifice that for the last that if they have time then they make it for themselves.  Spending most of the time in Kitchen is not an easy task to do at all. They wake up before everybody atleast 2 hours before Fajr, may be they pray few rakaa’s and they cook for family, whereas the whole family can pray during that time, how better would it be, if mothers can manage to cook what is required for all and not prepare special for each member and rest of the time she can pray and do her (Reading Quran, Tasbeeh, Salaah) But many homes, sorry to say have kept the Quran wrapped during Ramadhan and they take it out only for Jaagne ki raat/ Shabe baarat.

Further strenous job for mothers and sisters is to prepare for ifthaar.. Ya Allah.. They start just after praying Dhuhr Salaah.. Either pre-preparation for Kheema, Aloo Chole, Puri Bhaji,Ragda, Bhajia, Samosa, Kababs etc or they may start with cutting the vegetables for making some Curry/ Dal/ Kheer/Khichda/Mirch ki Salan etc.. or May be Biryani, Pulao, Khichdi etc.. When you ask them they say sabne roza rakha hain toh khaayenge na..Yes we are fasting, but these many items are not going to make you more healthy any which ways as the whole day you are fasting and you eat these many items all at one time which makes it very difficult to digest.. that is the reason why you see just after 2 fasts ,people queueing at the clinics..The best way to break fast (ifthaar) is to eat dates, few fruits and drink Water and rush to pray Maghrib with Jamaat. Many don’t go to pray maghrib with Jamaat coz of one glass of Kheer/Falooda.. but no mujhe yeh chahiye hi chahiye..(I want it at any cost) then Maa ki Mamta..Glass bhar ke pee lee...
Praying Salaah with Jamaat is more important. Falooda/ Kheer can wait, but if you miss jamaat then, that’s gone.  After you have come back from Salaah, then may be you can have something but you have been keeping your stomach empty since morning, so don’t over eat, try to eat less because you have to go to sleep and it takes atleast two hours minimum from the time you have put food onto your mouth. Mothers are more or less busy cooking cooking cooking and cooking… This is how Ramadhan goes for them.. Brothers should understand and also it is the duty of the mothers where they should advise and try to plan out things which will make it easy for them to give time for Resting/Ibaadaah etc. Ramadhan can make you get rid of all the accumulated waste which are detrimental to health. Ramadhan can strengthen your body and cure many diseases. But Farmaaish(requests) make it impossible for these things to happen. These are just few health benefits there are several other benefits of Fasting which has Rewards in Akhiraah and also in this duniya you can gain in more resistance to diseases, become more healthy..etc..
The main objective of Ramadhan is to reform and purify ourselves, our bodies, our minds, our hearts through praying, fasting, doing dhikr and remember Allah, Thank him for blessing you with an oppportunity I.e Ramadhan. It is not enough not to eat, not to drink : to fast is to rediscover a philosophy of life that demands constant effort to improve, and to reconcile ourselves with the values and the objectives we have set for our lives. To fast is to rediscover the meaning of mercy (rahmah) and compassion of Allah(swt), starting with our own selves.
O MOTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE KITCHEN.. Prophet (pbuh) sad: When Ramadhan starts, the door of heaven are opened, and the doors of hell are closed and the devils are chained up(bukhari). More than cooking the favourite dishes for your family, it is also your right to attain Taqwaah, this Holy Month of Ramadhan…Please don’t spend much time in kitchen..Recite more and more of the Quran, try to understand it and implement in your life, Stand the night for Salaah, Ask for forgiveness from Allah for your sins, Make Dua for you, your family, your society, the whole muslim Ummah.
May Allah give grant us with his mercy to make most out of this Ramadhan…

Jazak Allahu Khairan for reading.

ARE YOU ENRICHING YOUR ROOH OR YOUR BODY THIS RAMADHAN?

Several times have we made this promise that this ramadhan I will fast  all throughout the month and also the six fasts after Eid day, I will pray each night this month, I will do this and I will do that. But at the end of the month, are we sure about whether did we actually complete or fulfill those promises that we made. The answer  for many of us could be:
yes I did but not satisfied,
Yes I did but I missed few of XYZ things,
 No I didn’t.
Rarely do we get the reply as a complete Yes, wherein you are 100% sure that all the parameters where in place.
Let us read this ayat from the Quran from Surah Araf: Verse 172 which says:-
When thy Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): "Am I not your Lord (who cherishes and sustains you)?"- They said: "Yea! We do testify!"
There was a gathering of all the rooh’s, that we all have within ourselves where Allah asks “ Alastu bi rabbikum” and we all answered “balaa shahidna”.The Rooh that we have knows Allah. It has already spoken to him and has given a covenant in the above verse.
Now, This Rooh is blown into our body and when we are born the Rooh comes out with the body.
So, we have the Rooh and the Body. Both have needs.
Body has needs:  Food, Protection, it has a need to beautify itself, does things to comfort itself, various needs and desires.
Rooh has needs: It needs the tranquility by you praising Allah, doing righteous deeds, following the commands of Allah and all that he has declared as Halaal. As Allah says in Surah Raad:Verse 28 that Truly in the rememberance of Allah, do hearts find peace.
When it is Ramadhan, we are getting an opportunity from Allah(swt) to increase our Taqwa by feeding our Rooh and not feeding our needs of our body.
Allah says: O you who believe, fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you that you may achieve Taqwa( Surah Baqarah).
We have not been so serious with the needs of the Rooh for other months, so it is like a training programme wherein you control yourself ( hunger, speech, thirst, intimacy and many other things which are not allowed when you are fasting). Allah says that if we fast then we can attain taqwa.
When it comes to standing the night, Allah says in Surah Zariyat: verse 17 that “ They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night”.
Please read this verse carefully and also read from the Glorious Quran the verses before and after this verse. You should be standing at night even in other days to attain Jannah as Allah says that Jannati’s are those who slept less at night. Coming back to Ramadhan, There is also a hadeeth where prophet (pbuh) says that whoever stands and prays the nights in Ramadhan with perfect faith and seeking reward, all his past sins are forgiven(Bukhari).
And think for a while, how much are we in pace with the commands of Allah and His Messenger(pbuh) and  How much have we prepared for Jannah. Ramadhan is an opportunity which Allah has bestowed with where we can change our habits and try to get more and more closer to Allah, Alhumdulilaah. We cant say we will be in this world next Ramadan.
Before I end let me warn you by telling you why did Allah take a promise from all our Rooh. Allah gives the answer in the same verse of Surah Araf.. This we did , lest  you mankind  should say on the day of Resurrection, "Indeed, we were of this unaware". Our Rooh will not be able to say on the day of judgement: Inna kunna a’n hadha gafileen, because Rooh already knows Allah and it had a conversation with Allah.
Are we making use of this Ramadhan to enrich our Rooh or are we are still the same as we were enriching our Body?

HOW WILL YOUR RAMADHAN BE?

Years  back when Ramadhan was in hot summer of Mumbai.. I heard a man selling fish. He was a Muslim, a middle aged man, carrying a basket of around 20 kgs of fish on his head and walked in hot sun for few kms to earn halal in the month of Ramdhaan. He told me that he fasts regularly and sells fish for past ten years on the street of Mumbai.  There is another labourer who visits my locality selling pastries and cookies. He carries a huge Basket with 30 kgs of goods and shouts from the road looking for costumers. Once I called him to my house and spoke to him about his hard life.. That man had six daughters in his village and he is here in Mumbai selling cookies to make our suhur tastier. And he fasts as well.

In my neighbourhood there are tournaments of Volleyball, night cricket, and carom boards in the nights of Ramadhaan. Last Ramadhaan I met a grown up boy around 17 years, who was preparing for HSC exams ,so he did not fast ! He told me.. My parents say that focus on your exams and careers you may fast  next years onwards. So the boys studied hwole night to get into medicine while the rest of the family did suhur and fasted .

Umar Ibn Al-Khattab, used to pray at night what he wished, until it was in the middle of the night, when he would wake up his family to pray; then he would say to them "prayer.. prayer", and would recite this verse of the Qur'an, "Enjoin prayer on your people, and be constant therein. We ask you not to provide sustenance: We provide it for you. But the fruit of the Hereafter is for righteousness" [Qur'an 20:132].

The Prophet (pbuh) was the most generous of people, and he was most generous during Ramadan. He was more generous with good deeds than the blowing wind. The Messenger of Allah also said, "The best charity is one given during Ramadan." [Related by Al-Tirmidhi from Anas].

Allah the Almighty says, "And they feed, for the love of Allah, the indigent, the orphan, and the captive (saying), 'We feed you for the sake of Allah Alone. No rewards do we desire from you, nor thanks. We only fear a Day of frowning and stress from the side of our Lord.' But Allah will deliver them from the evil of that day, and will spread over them brightness and a (blissful) joy. And because they were patient and constant, He will reward them with a garden (and garments of) silk" [Qur'an 76:8-12].

The Salaf used to ensure feeding others and they placed it before many acts of worship, and it is equally rewarded whether you feed a hungry person or a good Muslim brother of yours. Ibn Umar did not break his fast except with the orphans and the needy. Sometimes, if he learned that his family had turned back the orphans and the needy, he would not break the fast that night.

The only news that national news papers in India carry about Ramadhaan is about lavish food sold in the nights of Muslim streets.  At times they discuss about the business done in the nights of Muslims markets.

Ramdhaan is not the month of festival but ibadah which not only includes recitation of the Qur'an but also generosity, charity and caring for poor and orphans.Meanwhile people living in the Gulf will be comforting in airconditions during the hot summer of ramadhaan, while those living in Bangladesh and Bihar and Bengal will be looking for means to save themselves from the yearly flood of Brahmaputra river... How will you pass your Ramadhaan? And Yes  how will I pass my Ramadhaan?

HOW TO MAKE EFFECTIVE DUA THIS RAMADHAN

We all make mistakes and we are all in dire need for forgiveness for the sins which we commit day and night. It is out of the mercy of Allaah upon us that He facilitated many ways to attain forgiveness.
We beg Allah to forgive and overlook our misdeeds. Whenever we beg for forgiveness Allah will answer our prayer and He, all praise be to Him, will overlook our evil deeds.

When a person commits a sin, he goes away from Allah. When he repents, he returns to Allah and desires for being pardoned by Him, and getting near Him.
The moment you raise your hands to heavens and say ‘O Lord,’ you become in direct close contact with Allah, you can pray and say whatever you wish, for it will remain between you and your Lord.
“And your Lord says, ‘Call on Me and I shall respond to you’” (Ghâfir, 40: 60)

“Du’a, and seeking of protection from Allah are like weapons, but the sharpness of a weapon is not sufficient for it to cause effect, for the person that handles it also play a role. So whenever the weapon is a perfect one, having no flaw in it, and the forearm is strong, and there are no preventing factors, then it will cause an effect on the enemy…” Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah

During this blessed month of Ramadan I will be sharing with you tips on how to make an effective dua. Be on the lookout for the email series “How to make effective dua this Ramadan” coming your way through out this month insha Allah.

FITNAH ON FACEBOOK

This is the word format of the interview recorded at a hotel near Masjid Al Haram, Makkah Al Mukarramah.

CHEF ARIF:
Assalamu Alaikum warehmatullahi wa barakatuhu, I am Arif from Makkah, welcoming Brother Nisaar Nadiadwala, a prominent writer on facebook, a regular speaker at ISLAMIC RESEARCH FOUNDATION and a speaker on peace TV as well.
We take up this opportunity to share some motivationg tips for the young muslims who are struggling to learn deen and looking for guidance from their seniors.
Brother has over 10 years of experience in field dawah  and public dawah. He has build a carreer in dawah, and has motivated many young muslims to take up dawah as a full time carreer. Alhumdulilaah, he is a well known guide for hundred of dawah centres acrros India and they look up at him for seeking advice to promote Islam.
Our Today’ topic of discussion would be FITNAH ON FACEBOOK.

BROTHER NISAAR
WS  Jazak Allah brother arif, as far as the topic goes fitnah on facebook, let me xplain the word fitnah, so that my answers can be easily understood by the audience. The Arabic word fitnah covers many meanings. In the quranic context it means test to see whether you are choosing good or evil. In other context, it also means a trial to test your sabr and taqwa. In one more meaning it also means a type of tribulation from allah,so that people may correct themselves. Plenty of eg are  found in the quran.
The Quran says innama amvaalakum va avlaadukum fitnah. Here it does not mean that your wealth and children are a punishment for you. But, it means that they are a test for you, to see whether you bow to the pressure or you be firm against their unislamic pressure.
The second Eg. Is also from the Quran where Allah(swt) warns thebelievers that if they disobey and rebell against Allah and His messenger then they may fall into Fitnah. So, if we study the case of Bani Israel from Surah Baqarah, we come to know that they rebel against moses(A.S) and met  punishments of various kinds, for Eg they had to wander in the deserts for 40 years and they were also attacked by their enemieswho entered into their homes and destroyed everything. This was a humialtion from Allah. A type if fitnah. In today’s times we see the muslims falling into both the fitnah and the plight of the ummah is not good. The other type of fitnah is the hardship where the person undergoes a crisis without his own fault. But he maintains firmness i=with sabr. You will find this in the case of uthman bin Affan(R.A) and many other sahabs. So we saw some categories of fitnah

CHEF ARIF
So brother Nisaar, in which category of fitnah  the facebook falls into?
First of all do you agree that facebook is a fitnah, as many scholars have warned.
BROTHER NISAAR
Of course, I agree facebook is a fitnah and it is a different fitnah for different people. Whether you are a teacher teaching deen or a daee promoting islam or a lady searching for religious knowledge or a lady searching for a dream boy by browsing profiles or a perverted maniac who just pretends to be good but decieves innocent girls. There are two types of danger in facebook
1 dangers to modesty
2 danger of getting wrong knowledge from wrong people, jeopardising you r akhiraah.
Both of them are equally dangerous for muslims.
As far as modesty goes, young sisters who normally wear hijab and intermingle with opposite sex in their colleges and their social gatherings yet some of them cross the borderline of modesty by intermingling with the opposite sex on facebook becausefacebook offers a tremendous secrecy. Nobody comes to know with whom you are discussing and what you are discussing. I have come across some cases, where some practising muslim females have fallen into an affair with non-muslims who pretend to be interested in Islam, but gradually allured the poor girl who strive innnocently to make him muslim. The discussion then goes in the wrong direction with personal information being shared. And then it raises the emotional index. Thus, exposing the girl to an emotional disaster, destroying her mental peace and ending up with a broken affair.
In other cases, some young boys, who are hard working with good intention of serving and promoting Islam enter into a discussion with non meharm female. And out of curiousity browses her profile and finds it interesting. From talking about islam the subject changes, towards personal discussion. And the young boy who could have done a lot of dawah on facebook by maintaining hijab, is only occupied in thinking about that girl. And If the relation fails to get into marriage the boy feels low and to compensate the loss, he hunts another girl. And this time as well the way is through Islam.
So, these are very dangerous things or hobbies for girls and boys. And I call it A FITNAH OF FACEBOOK where the taqwah and modesty of many boys and girls fails to stand up the situation.

CHEF ARIF
You also mentioned that there is a danger to your creed, can you please elaborate?
BROTHER NISAAR
You see those who are enthusiastic about learning Islam, should try to avoid facebook for that purpose because high profile scholars like Dr. bilal philips, Dr.Farhat Hashmi, Dr.Zakir Naik and many more don’t appear on fb. And many ppl with less knowledge or wrong knowledge are teaching deen on facebook. So those who want to learn deen on internet,  they should go directy on websites of Dr Farhat Hashmi, Dr.Bilal Philips or ISLAM QA. These websites offer extensive knowledge on fiqh, personal issues as well as creed. So if these websites are available easiily for all, then why should on e approach unknown ppl, about who’s back ground of Islamic Knowledge is not known to us. There are some people who are promoting the Aqeedah of Khaarji’s. Some create confusion about authentic hadeeth from Bukhari. Some manufacture their own answers  and lot of ppl take deen from these ppl, ending up with doubts and confusion about those issues which had no second opinion amongst the early generation of muslims. And all of the above corruptors of creed, they approach as our well wishers. This is one of the biggest dangers of Face book.

Finally brother Nisaar, what are your suggestions to facebook users?
BROTHER NISAAR
Don’t keep detailed personal information on your profile. Don’t respond to personal messages ffrom unknown  ppl as well as non mehram. Keep facebook usage for family members only to share personal things. And don’t accept requests from Non-Mehrams .Ignore comments of appreciation from non-mehram.  And request non-mehram not to tag you. In short use facebook in minimum.
CHEF ARIF
Jazak Allahu Khairan Brotther Nisaar for sharing your time with us. And I pray to Allah Almighty that he accepts our efforts.
